A child can now learn and practice writing the alphabet on his parent’s iPhone or iPod Touch thanks to an application called “Witty Bit World ABCs” available for $1.99 through iTunes. The application was developed by Dr. Jennifer Hudson, a board-certified pediatrician in North Carolina.
The “Witty Bit World ABCs,” application features the letters as characters used to teach children the upper- and lower-case letters of the alphabet, according to Dr. Hudson. Children can explore each letter of the alphabet, listen to music that teaches the child the sounds the letter makes as well as trace the shapes of the letter with their finger on the touch screen.
