usps2-642x480

So for many people out there who loves to send mail or even packages the old traditional way, fret no further, with the official USPS Mobile app for the iPhone and iPod touch.  The old USPS mobile app recently received an official update with an oft-request potage price calculator.

USPS mobile price calculator can easily be found under the “Prices” tab at the bottom of the screen. This add on features allows you to view prices for flat rate products as well as other prices based on specific attributes.

Calculation for the prices of the package is a breeze with you entering some basic information like zip codes, the type of package you want to send and also the weight of the package. Once you finished polishing the details, the app will display the prices of your package based on the mailing date. Prices are listed based on the shipping time of the package and can be save for a later viewing.

The price calculator offers helpful features like being able to find a zip code based on the address and weight comparisons using household items in case you can’t find any scale to weigh in your package. The only downside of this app is that it doesn’t show any piece of information regarding first class shipping prices.

For no known reasons the app fails to display first class shipping prices that results to under 13 ounces packages that can be shipped. Anything higher than that the app fails to meet the requirements.

Optoma_Neo-i_2_610x391

Interesting enough, hooking up your iPhone on a projector sounds like a crazy idea? Well, ideas just came to a reality with the Optoma Neo-i. Pico projectors haven’t really taken off like some people would but a projector from Optoma seriously looks interesting for buyers to have glimpse of real life viewing experience. The reason why Optoma’s Neo-I projector has become the talk of the town, it’s because they have combined an iPod/iPhone sound dock with a “tabletop” projector that fits perfectly on the iPhone.

The Neo-I was supposed to ship last mid-December for a whooping price tag of $449. The machine packs a punch and it is not your ordinary typical pico projector. Optoma says that the Neo-I comes with a 50 ANSI lumen DLP projector that caters WVGA (854x480pixel) resolution in a neat 16:9 format. It also comes with a “full bodies” 16-watt Stereo system.  The Neo-I can also run on a optional battery pack that is rated at 20,000 hours.

The docking station can accommodate both iPods and iPhones and gives users three options to accessing and controlling your media selections from your iPod/iPhone screen that includes an IR remote or the backlit control panel on the Neo-I.

The projector has HDMI and VGA ports that allow you to connect laptops, Blu-ray players and other digital media boxes such as an Apple TV. It also has an optional accessory kit for connecting the iPad. At first glance the Optoma Neo-I is superb sleek device but well have to wait to see for ourselves the final verdict.
