voicemod-200x300

With so many plenty of voice modification apps in the App Store, Voicemod sets the record straight and makes your voice sound just as crazy on the first run. Instead of altering the recording you have made, Voicemod modifies your voice in advance.

The app is simple and easy to use; all you have to do is just plug in the headphones and start filtering and talking. The app is clever enough to block your voice if your headphone volume is tuned sufficiently loud. One of the great aspects it achieves is the fact your voice will really sound like Darth Vader, a futuristic robot or even an idiot.

The idiot effect settings adds a confusing delay that it might sound gibberish and hard to understand. And yes you’ve guessed it right, your voice sounds like a moron after all. While the main attraction would be the real-time voice modification, the app gets an extra feature with the crazy voice that allows users to record and share messages real time. This feature couldn’t be much easier to use than hitting the record button and waiting for a three second countdown to begin. After which users are treated with a share button to share their wacky voices over Twitter, Facebook, or email.

Perhaps, Voicemod is the king of all voice modification app considering the fact it has no major flaws. Adults and kids will surely love with making their voices funny as not every time you talk to your phone and have it talk back to you with an alternative voice.

laststandstan-e1299805930848-300x200 When it comes to gaming devices no one does it better than Apple. With the much popularity of the iOS platform the iPhone has certainly made its name in the handheld gaming era. The one great challenge that would likely make games would be the limitations of the device. LastStandStan is a game that makes wonders playing in an iOS device. When you first start the game, you start of in a spacecraft in top down view, reminding you off the old Reagan-era top view shooters like Asteroid. By a simple tap on the screen your space shuttle will fire its weapon on the direction on which you are aiming. Tap the ship and you get to select an armament of weapons, shields and power-ups for your spacecraft. The game is pretty much cartoonish in terms of graphics but it is still fun to play with considering the game utilizes the iPhone’s gaming capacity. The game is illuminated with bright twinkling things with solid fields of color and hues. Each weapon is unique having its own set of fireworks to display with and unique enemy ship explosions making the game more entertaining and pleasure to kill boredom. The only drawback to the game would be the monotonous gameplay it has to offer. While the cool explosions and animations are good moving the ship once in a while would make it seem too repetitive. LastStandStan is still a fun game worth playing for casual gamers who would love retro-style game like Asteroids.

Adobe has announced the release an application dubbed as the Wallaby that will convert Flash files into HTML5 fornat. The project Wallaby converts artworks of animation into a .fla file extension for it to be readable into an HTML format that can be opened with the use of a Safari web browser on iOS devices.

Posted by jwrite under iPhone Apps, iPhone News, iPhones, iPods on Monday Mar 7, 2011

tinywings-e1299210104512-300x200

Tiny Wings is very much similar to NinJump Deluxe and the like as they are the easy to play with a single touch of a button. Like other casual games out there, the key to getting a high score in Tiny Wings lies in perfectly timing the hum when you tap of the screen. You might be familiar with Patapon with the drum and rhythm music in order for your army to move, Tiny Wings is much more simplified than that.

Tiny Wings is named of the small bird the player controls with tiny wings to flap. The only way for the bird to overcome obstacles is for the player to touch the screen so the bird may tuck its wind and dive and keep on flying just to stay in flight.  Time it just right and the bird might just stay in the air all the time. The game is time based so you have to move fast enough to finish the course or your bird might immediately fall asleep for the night and the game will end.

There are also power ups in the game; additionally a giant ramp sits in the game that lets the bird buzz around to another island.

Simple and repetitive as it may sound, the game has plenty of replay value to choose from. As the game progress the terrain also becomes a little bit challenging. The best thing about Tiny Wings would be the cool backgrounds it gives. With numerous paint like objects, and the pin striped hills makes it wonderful for kids to play with.
