As just a third of drivers admit to knowing what to do should they be involved in an accident , AXA Insurance, one of the UK’s largest insurers, in partnership with specialist app developer Mubaloo has launched a motor insurance claims iPhone app to help.
The application, available now from the Apple iTunes app store, will help motorists involved in an accident get through the stressful and often confusing process of dealing with details at the scene of the crash, as well as help the whole claims process run more smoothly.
‘AXAdent’ is neat, compact and immediate and is an excellent example of how an app can provide real value to the user. AXAdent is available from the App Store and is free.

WeComply Inc. has added a free iPhone app to its product line. WeComply’s new “Know Your Rights” is a pocket guide for understanding what to do if you are stopped, arrested or injured in an encounter with the police. The app is based on a pamphlet published by the ACLU Racial Justice Program, ACLU National Security Project, ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project, and the ACLU of Southern California.
The “Know Your Rights” app is the latest in a series of innovative compliance-training products from WeComply. WeComply introduced PDA-based training in 2002, “podcasted” training in 2005 and telephone-based training in 2006. All of WeComply’s 40+ programs train employees on policies and applicable laws in an effort to help organizations avoid and detect illegal and unethical behavior.
It is available for free over at the Apple iTunes store.

Big in Japan, a Dallas-based idea factory for mobile applications, today announced that its new app, Gravitron X, is now available for free download at the Apple iTunes App Store.
Created by the Big in Japan developer and designer team of Jake and James Adams, Gravitron X is a gravity-simulator app that enables users to create their own universe of celestial bodies – and watch them interact.
Users can create planets, stars, moons, asteroids and space dust by tapping a finger on their iPhone or iPod Touch screens. Stars explode, planets go into orbit, solar systems are built and destroyed — all based on your decisions and how they impact the gravitational interplay of the celestial bodies created. Even the tiniest of dust particles pull on the largest of stars in minute amounts.
Jake and James Adams are brothers and veteran iPhone developers. They have built several popular apps, including Stop Watch and iDoodleIt.

Unified messaging and communications service, mBox announced that the latest version of their iPhone application now incorporates push notification, a technology allowing iPhone and iPod touch users running the new Apple 3.0 firmware to receive mBox fax and voice notifications in real-time as instant alerts.
Notification messages can also play sound alerts and can update the badge on the mBox icon. These functions can be turned on and off by the user at any time. Push notification is a positive enhancement for the mBox unified messaging service as it improves the way mBox users receive fax and voice messages through their iPhone.
The latest version of the mBox push notification application for iPhones and iTouch devices is now available free to download from the online Apple iTunes app store. Fruits, veggies and lean meats (foods that are healthy and keep you full) will rank a four or five and can be consumed relatively guilt-free. Food that scores a two or one is generally full of sugar, butters and oils (empty calories that cause you to desire more empty calories) and should be eaten sparingly.
The FoodGauge app for iPhone users is now available at the Apple iTunes store for only $0.99. For Blackberry users, it is available at the Blackberry App World for $2.99.

Nickelodeon’s AddictingGames, the largest source of the best free online games with 15 million unique visitors, launches some of its most popular online casual games on the iPhone.
