Apple seeded a new OS X Lion 10.7.2 build, iPhoto 9.2 beta 3 and iCloud beta 9 to its developers on Friday. Apple’s release notes said the Lion update focuses on Airport, AppKit, GraphicsDrivers, iCal, iChat, Mac App Store, Mail, Spotlight and Time Machine. It seems that these days, developers are taking advantage of the fact that people love to snooze more than get up and go. But to make it all worthy, LetGive has come up with an app called the Snooze iOS app to sleep some more but also give a little something to charitable institutions in return.
The app doesn’t seem to be fit for the cheapskates out there but considering that you donate only about $0.25 with each push of the snooze button, the idea isn’t half bad. The app is available for the iPhone, iPad, and the iPod where the app allows users to select the charitable institution whenever the alarm goes off.
It may not be much to raise money for charity but each penny earned would really be a big lift.

Apple is at it again. Known for its controversial approval and removal of iPhone apps over at the iTunes app store, the WiFi Detector app has been removed without any explanation or apology. Now that was quite below the belt considering it was initially approved and taken out without any reason.
Apple has declined to tell developers what rules scanning applications are actually breaking which leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Well if they keep this up, they may end up with developers shifting their focus on providing new apps for another platform. Something like Android-based phones over at the Android Market. Well Apple doesn’t seem to care anyway.
