Fit or Fugly

Ever wonder how pretty you are or how ugly you might be?Well I phone has an application which allows you to experiment and see the diference if your Fit or Fugly. Honestly it can be harsh.

From Iphone hacks.

“If you have always been curious to know how attractive you actually look, here is an iPhone app that might be able to finally declare whether you are attractive or not.

Developed by teenage iPhone app developer Ed Nash, the iPhone app ‘Fit or Fugly‘ measures attractiveness based on the premise that it is a factor directly related to the symmetry of the face. With help from Fibonacci Golden ratio principles, the app calculates the symmetry of the face and hence tells you whether you are ‘fit’ or ‘fugly’.

To use the app, one needs to upload a picture and mark the key anchor points like the nose, eyes, ears, mouth and chin and then the app would calculate how symmetric your face is. But here’s the problem – Your facial symmetry as measured by the app gets distorted with even a slight tilt of the face towards the left or right. This means that a smashing side pose of yours would return a fugly rating while the nerdy looking front pose could be labelled fit.

Anyway, this app is meant to be more for fun rather than any scientific analysis and we think it does a good job on this aspect. Emphasizing on the entertainment value of the app, Ed Nash says

“The app itself is seriously funny and I really am expecting it to be a chart topper, certainly in the entertainment category. It is the first of its kind and uses some of the iPhone’s best features to give you an amazingly enjoyable experience which costs as little as a can of coke”

The iPhone app is available for $0.99 and you may purchase it from the App Store by clicking on this link. Please don’t forget to tell us how you find the app – fit or fugly.”

Word press has been the hangout place for bloggers and writers. People enjoy the benefit they get from word press in terms of user friendly, traffic movement and it’s free. The site not only lets you do blogging at your Pc’s or laptop, but also in your Ipone.

Introducing the only iPhone app that lets you write posts, upload photos, edit pages, and manage comments on your blog from your iPhone or iPod Touch. With support for both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress (2.7 or higher), users of all experience levels can get going in seconds. It’s been just over a week since WordPress for iPhone 2 was released on the App Store. In that time, you’ve downloaded the app onto over 20,000 iPhones and iPods. We’re really pleased to see how many people are interested in the app, especially those who are able to use it for the first time with version 2.0. To mark the occasion, we wanted to show you our new video introduction for the app, take the time to share some data with you, and answer a few questions we’ve been seeing.

We’ve just received word that WordPress for iPhone 2 is now available on the App Store. Woohoo!

A quick note about installation: WordPress for iPhone 2 is a new app, and the previous version won’t automatically update to 2.0. Installing it won’t overwrite any previous version you have installed. When you launch the new app, you’ll immediately see “Version 2.0? at the bottom of the screen. When you’re no longer using it, you can safely remove the previous version from your device.

Our efforts were focused on creating a better user experience — the beginnings of a user interface overhaul that we’ll continue with the next version, and eliminating the bugs and incompatibilities with some self-hosted WordPress setups that was the source of the majority of the support requests we see in the forum.

If you’re wondering why the buzz for the I phone hasn’t died down yet, its because your missing all the reasons to buy an I phone. I phones are one of the things I am jealous of. Can you imagine how technology has evolved in so many different ways. The I phone allows you to take pictures, download music, go internet and more. Apart from that it is stylish and funky.

Right now people are very addicted to different applications and news have been passed that to do in-app purchases in free apps is going to change AppStore landscape now. Previously this was restricted to paid only apps. Here is what Apple says in their e-mail to developers:

“In App Purchase is being rapidly adopted by developers in their paid apps. Now you can use In App Purchase in your free apps to sell content, subscriptions, and digital services.

You can also simplify your development by creating a single version of your app that uses In App Purchase to unlock additional functionality, eliminating the need to create Lite versions of your app. Using In App Purchase in your app can also help combat some of the problems of software piracy by allowing you to verify In App Purchases.”

Obviously, the I phone is one of the best creations in the world. It collaborates everything in your life in to one phone.
