wheres-waldo-in-hollywood-300x200

With the success of the first Where’s Waldo in Hollywood app, Waldo hunters will be in for another treat with the guy in striped sweater will be back on a familiar pictured puzzled for the iPhone. Seekers for the previous game will be putted with fresh new search scenes that are renderings of movie tv sets with a backdrop theme music playing tribute to the classical western, musicals and silent era movies.

Whre’s Waldo in Hollywood is essentially as the past previous installments but very completely different in terms of search scenes. There are two different modes of gameplay, Story Mode and versus mode. Story mode is the progressive hunt and finds challenges where players have to look for Waldo, his friends and the numerous hidden objects. Players earn stars pit their wit against Odlaw, a classic nemesis in the past previous games in which players have to find hidden pictures and earn stars to find hidden special characters to unlock additional scenes.

Navigating your way thru each scene is fine and simple with a small grid that displays the top of the screen to help you keep in place where you are searching.  The fact that scenes are not entirely static as those found on real books, characters you have to find tend to have animation and move making it more entertaining and challenging.

If you are a fan of seek and finds, then Where’s Waldo in Hollywood would be the right challenging sequel awaiting for you. The game is as challenging as the original Where’s Waldo? The Fantasitc Journey.

my.virtual.girlfriend-200x300

So if loveless guys out there you’re in for a treat. An app called itself as a “dating simulation” game is storming the iPhone. My Virtual Girlfriend bears the resemblance of flight simulator games like controlling an aircraft. But in this game you control a virtual girlfriend and start out a romantic relationship with her.

To be light on the side, the game is made to be fun and silly to play with. It is exclusively to appeal most teenage boys that are left bored with their lives. The game tantalizes things about sexuality and the girls are all buxom with humorous dialogue with non-stop flirty comments.  So if you’re expecting some stripping and all of those good stuff, think again you won’t find it in here.

When the game starts, you are treated with matchmaking questionnaire that talks about the player sees him and to what degree of intelligence he has. After which the player will be asked the same questions about his ideal match.

You start the game with a date and control your character with the activities shown on the left side of the screen.  For example, if you are pissed with your date you can easily shut them up by choosing the “Go Hiking” button to send you both camping in the woods.

This game may be a little too light but consider it as a start for virtual fun and excitement. My Virtual Girlfriend can be a great romantic virtual companion to have most especially for  boys who still don’t know how to date.

It’s not too hard to notice the numerous myriad of iPhone apps that meant to establish communication from one person to another. Valentine’s Day may seem to be over but love is still in the air and well alive in the App store. One unique feature that still has the spotlight on is Country Living Treemail. This is not treemail from the reality t.v show Survivor but the equivalent of having someone’s initial on the trunk of the tree.

Country Living Treemail lets you select all different types of tree bark and blades so that you can carve small, or short messages on a virtual tree and share it off with your friends either email, Facebook and Twitter. There is also a short collection of signs and symbols like hearts, arrows, and the like that function as stamps, and can be resized on your tree carving. Customization can be done with the tips of your finger.

Country Living Treemail is not difficult to use, it saves you from getting your pocket knife out and carving your own tree bark. If mistakes can be done, users can easily navigate back to the tools menu and selecting the erase button to finish of your carving.

Overall, tree mail is not your ordinary type of messaging system but consider it as a unique way in storing and backing up your messages. It is a creative and clever way for iPhone users to find ways to communicate and share their thoughts through the ideas of others.

Slice Your Way with Food Processing

Posted by jwrite under iPhone Accessories, iPhone Apps, iPhone News, iPhones on Friday Feb 25, 2011

IMG_1657-642x428

So for people who just can’t seem to stop on craving with Fruit Ninja, well you’re in for another treat. Food Processing published from Chillingo is a game similar to Fruit Ninja but consider the fruits being sliced through a conveyor belt.

The game offers six types of food for you to process and each one requires a different type of mechanic to process properly. Each food requires you to process differently. These include pea pods, corn, eggplants, and pumpkins just to name a few. For example, eggplants require a simple tap and a slice to get the job done.

There are different objectives for each fruit, and you need first to think on what second action you would wish to perform. The conveyor belt keeps coming with random assortment of food and you’ll never know what’s next in line. Every few seconds the speed goes faster making it quite challenging while processing and keeping the pace all at the same time.

You are rated by how you processed food and how well you did with the slicing and munching. If you process badly like unequal pieces you won’t be able to get a perfect score. The only flaw about this game would be the controls. You have to be extra careful in slicing since the game has a tough time in recognizing rapid slicing actions.

Overall Food Processing is a great game to simulate your love for action arcade games. The game has great visuals of every fruit and vegetable you slice and it will never bore you down to the bone.
