Lingerie Football League is changing the game, both on the field and in the App Store, with the launch of the new Lingerie Football League app. Last year, 52 million people watched the Lingerie Bowl instead of the Super Bowl half-time show. If those numbers are any indication, the new Lingerie Football League app could be one of the hottest new apps in the App Store.
Building on that popularity, the Lingerie Football League (LFL) kicks off its inaugural season Friday September 4, 2009 at the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago, as the Miami Caliente and Chicago Bliss take to the field in the skimpiest of uniforms to play 7-on-7 tackle football. Featuring sexy women in lingerie playing full contact football, LFL gives sports fans a new entertainment option on Friday nights, and a hot new app for their iPhone or iPod Touch. Fans who don’t have an iPhone or iPod Touch can subscribe to the LFL Mobile site by texting “LFL” to 89873.
The Lingerie Bowl started out as a counter-programming special during half-time of the Super Bowl, and has now launched a full league with ten teams throughout the country. The teams include: Chicago Bliss, Miami Caliente, San Diego Seduction, Seattle Mist, Dallas Desire, Los Angeles Temptation, Denver Dream, New York Majesty, Philadelphia Passion and Tampa Breeze.
The Lingerie Football League app contains photos, videos, news, rankings, schedules, rosters and tons of steamy content direct from the Lingerie Football League. Although the Lingerie Football League app does not include live streaming of games, it will let fans watch video highlights, download photos and share them with their friends, as well as follow their team throughout the season and on to the Lingerie Bowl. The inaugural season includes a 20 week schedule with a new game every Friday night in major arenas across the country. New photos, videos and news stories will be added to the app each week.
