Namco Networks America Inc had a blast with its new arrival of Pac-Man by getting a new life on the iOS devices with Pac-Mania. The classic arcade game released originally in 1987 has been brought back to life with the new 3D version of Pac-Man which was such a change of pace from the previous 2D versions. The biggest change is that you can now jump over ghosts plus the camera follows you around levels in which they are too big to fit on the screen.

The iPhone version lets you sample the classic arcade with four unique worlds with over 23 stages and two brand new ghosts that come along. Exclusive to the iPhone version is the new scramble mode that gives you over 120 seconds to score as much as possible before the time runs out. The gameplay is much similar to Pac-Man Championship Edition with one quadrant full of dots and once you finish eating those you get another quadrant and so on.

It’s great to dodge ghost by jumping over them and as well as tapping them. The iPhone version is purely addictive giving you the opportunity to touch the screen as well as offering social connectivity in a new whole mode. Scramble mode is great with time constraints that give you great speed and increase board shifting of Pac-Man CE.

Overall Pac-Mania is game back from the past with cool add on in graphics and considering the low price of $1.99, this game surely packs more than a punch for sheer entertainment.

Control Your Universe with Gravitron XBig in Japan, a Dallas-based idea factory for mobile applications, today announced that its new app, Gravitron X, is now available for free download at the Apple iTunes App Store.

Created by the Big in Japan developer and designer team of Jake and James Adams, Gravitron X is a gravity-simulator app that enables users to create their own universe of celestial bodies – and watch them interact.

Users can create planets, stars, moons, asteroids and space dust by tapping a finger on their iPhone or iPod Touch screens. Stars explode, planets go into orbit, solar systems are built and destroyed — all based on your decisions and how they impact the gravitational interplay of the celestial bodies created. Even the tiniest of dust particles pull on the largest of stars in minute amounts.

Jake and James Adams are brothers and veteran iPhone developers. They have built several popular apps, including Stop Watch and iDoodleIt.

To download Gravitron X, visit the Big in Japan website.
