So if you’re trying to access your home office computer while waltzing around in some place where the lack of a physical computer is out of reach, it’s not that hard to find an app to do all your work. Whatever it is you do on your personal computer can be done using your iPhone or iPod touch, the very same actions life you were sitting in front of your machine.
Actions like, clicking, drag and drop, opening files and folder, edit files, copy and paste and so on can be done remarkably on your iPhone. There many options you can use in viewing your mini desktop in portrait or landscape modes. Tapping or pinching your iPhone makes the screen zoom in or out.
These are some other apps that make it easier for you to connect to your home computer and set up a remote access to your desktop. Once you gain control of your connection you can simply use your iPhone to do triggering actions: move the mouse to click on an object or use it to drag another window under stationery and click on it.
Many of the apps capable of doing remote access includes but not limited to Carter Harrison’s WinAdmin, LogMein’s LogMeIn Ignition, Jugaari’s Jaadu Remote Desktop and for users who are fond of using online backup service the KineticD Backup, KineticExtend.
Current version of Windows like Vista,XP, and Windows 7, include RDP by default settings. Configuring RDP connections isn’t that difficult but for those who are not familiar you can check a tutorial found at Microsoft’s Webiste.
